NPFL: Imama seeks end to Abia Warriors’ barren run against Bendel Insurance
Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo hopes his side will end their barren run against Bendel Insurance this weekend.
The Umuahia club are yet to record a win against Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Insurance defeated the Umu Chineke 1-0 in Benin City last season, while the reverse fixture in Umuahia ended in a 0-0 draw.
Amapakabo is, however, looking forward to a different result this time around.
“There will always be a first time; like I said earlier too, every game is different from the other game,” the gaffer told the club’s media.
”I was not here when they met, and to me, history does not count for me. When you are able to do on that day the things that are right—run faster, jump higher, shoot better, dribble well, defend well—at the end of the day, it’s the team that so desires that will get it.”
