Former Arsenal star, Ray Parlour has insisted that Mikel Arteta’s side really miss captain Martin Odegaard.
Parlour also likened the Norway attacking midfielder to Arsenal icon Dennis Bergkamp.
Odegaard is currently recovering from injury and has missed some crucial matches for Arsenal so far this season.
Speaking about Odegaard, Parlour told GiveMeSport:
“Arsenal have really missed Odegaard. I played with Dennis Bergkamp and I would put Martin in that bracket.
“His vision, weight of pass and ability to get out of tight situations reminds me of Bergkamp.
“Arsenal don’t really have an Odegaard backup, even though Rice can play in that role. It is horrible when you lose such a key player.”
