AC Milan striker, Alvaro Morata has suggested that Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal will be like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the football world over 15 years.

The pair won 13 Ballon d’Or awards among themselves in the past.

They are currently at the end of their footballing careers.

Messi currently plays for MLS club Inter Miami while Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to The Athletic, Morata also said that Yamal had everything to make history.

“Every 20 or 30 years one or two emerge like Cristiano and Messi. For me, Lamine has got everything it takes to make history.

“I’m convinced that if he doesn’t become the greatest player in Spain’s history, he’ll definitely be one of them,” Morata told The Athletic.

Yamal recently finished in 8th position in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings.

The Spain winger won the Kopa Trophy for the best young player in the world.
