Sokoto United defender, Ishaku Jibrin has received a call-up to the Super Eagles B team for the 2025 Africa Nations Championship qualifying fixture against Ghana.
Ishaku joined the list of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL players invited by caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen.
Sokoto United announced Ishaku’s invitation on social media.
“Sokoto United FC is thrilled to announce that its talented right-back, Ishaku Jibrin, has been invited to join the Nigerian National Team, also known as the CHAN Eagles, ahead of their 2025 qualifying match,” Sokoto United wrote on X.
“This impressive achievement is a testament to Ishaku’s exceptional skills and dedication.”
The first leg of the qualifying fixture is billed for the weekend of 20th-22nd December with the return leg a week later.
The overall winner will earn a place in the competition to be co-hosted by Kenya, Morocco and Tanzania.
