Adeleye Aniyikaye and Gbolagade Adelowo have rejoined Shooting Stars after an unsuccessful spell abroad.

Aniyikaye and Adelowo left Shooting Stars for Qatari club, Alkahrabaa SC, at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The duo took the decision to return to the country after failing to sign a contract with Alkahrabaa SC.

The two players took part in training ahead of Shooting Stars’ home clash against El-Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.

Both Aniyikaye and Gbolagade played significant roles in Shooting Stars’ impressive performance last season before travelling out of the country to try their luck with the Qatari club.

Adelowo set a record match appearances in the Nigerian league, having played every minute of all 38 games in the season, a feat that earned him the club’s player of the season award.
