Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has defended teammate Kylian Mbappe while urging the club’s fans not to doubt the attacker.
Modric spoke after Mbappe failed to score a goal in Real Madrid’s LaLiga 4-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday.
Mbappe has failed to score a goal for Real Madrid in his last four matches for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
As a result, the France international has faced criticism from fans over his display for the Los Blancos.
Speaking after Real Madrid defeated Osasuna, Modric insisted that Mbappe will help the club in the future.
“Don’t doubt Mbappé. I’m sure he will help us a lot in the future,” Modric said at his post-match interview.
“He will show everyone why he has been and still is one of the best players in the world”.
