Former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, has announced his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing his commitment to a youth-focused movement with a transformative agenda.

Bafarawa, who served as the executive governor of Sokoto State from May 29, 1999, to May 29, 2007, emphasized his dedication to creating opportunities for youth empowerment as the cornerstone of his renewed efforts.
