    3 Tiktokers jailed for sharing indecent pictures

    A Kano Magistrate Court No.7 sitting at Norman’s Land has sentenced three social media influencers to one year and one month imprisonment each for posting indecent pictures on a video-sharing app, TikTok.

    Sumayya Muhammad, Usman Majidadi and Usman Ibrahim Kalar Kudi, were arraigned by the state Censorship Board before the court for conspiracy to commit crime, sharing inappropriate content and posting indecent photos capable of disturbing public morals.

    The defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.

    Justice Halima Wali sentenced each of them to four months for conspiracy with a fine of N50,000, six months or N50,000 fine for posting indecent videos and another three months or a fine of N70, 000 for wasting the time of the prosecution.
