Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for what he described as a bold and successful resistance against Israel.
His comment followed a ceasefire in the wake of recent hostilities between the two warring countries.
In a statement on Monday, the former minister said Iran’s response to what he termed an unprovoked attack by Israel had forced the latter into seeking a truce with the backing of the United States.

He described the outcome as a significant blow to Israel, saying the Zionist state had never experienced such a level of damage and psychological defeat in its 77-year history.
“They picked a fight with a strong and proud nation and got not just a bloody nose but a thorough beating. Never will they launch an unprovoked attack on Iran again”, he said.
According to him, Iran’s resilience on the battlefield shocked its adversaries and restored the country’s pride on the global stage.
Fani-Kayode hailed the Iranian Armed Forces for supervising a “measured military engagement”, noting that they did not target civilians or level Israeli cities despite their capabilities.
He further praised the leadership of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for his “extraordinary strength, humility and faith during the crisis”.
The former minister argued that Israel and the United States failed in their objectives, which he alleged included the destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities, regime change and the assassination of Iran’s leadership.
While praying for the ceasefire to endure, he warned that Israel could not be trusted to maintain peace.
Fani-Kayode condemned “Israel’s continued occupation of Palestinian territories and its military actions in Gaza”, calling for global resistance against oppression and injustice.
He pledged to remain outspoken against what he referred to as Zionist aggression and urged others who stand for peace and humanity to do the same.
“The Zionists and Americans not only failed in their objective to destroy all of Iran’s nuclear enrichment plants and nuclear and ballistic missile threats, despite all pretentions to the contrary.
“But they also failed to kill Ayatollah Khameini, effect regime change and spark off a wider war in the Middle East, to take us one step closer to WW3.
“I congratulate the Islamic Republic of Iran for standing up to the Zionist bullies and Talmudic troublers of the world, teaching them the lesson of their lives, bringing them to their knees and forcing them to go running to their big brother America for help in the field of battle and to beg for a ceasefire”, he added.
Daily Trust reports that the former minister has been a leading voice against US support for Israel and a strong critic of the latter’s offensive in Gaza that have reportedly killed over 50,000 civilians mostly women and children.
