The League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State has welcomed the return of pilgrims who participated in the 2025 Hajj exercise, urging them to let the spiritual lessons of the holy journey reflect in their daily lives.

In a statement signed by the Secretary-General of the League, Sheikh  Tajudeen Mustapha Adewunmi, the body expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of the Hajj rites and the safe return of the state’s contingent from the sacred cities of Makkah and Madinah.

“We thank Allah for granting our pilgrims a safe journey and pray that their acts of worship are accepted as Hājj Mabroor.

“The pilgrimage is not only a sacred obligation but a life-transforming experience. As such, we urge all returning pilgrims to serve as true ambassadors of Islam in character, discipline, and commitment to faith,” the statement read.

The League also used the opportunity to congratulate Muslims across Ogun State, Nigeria, and the world on the advent of the new Islamic year, 1447 A.H., describing it as a time for reflection, spiritual renewal, and recommitment to the values of faith, unity, and perseverance.

While applauding the successful conduct of the Hajj, the religious body extended appreciation to all those who made the 2025 pilgrimage seamless.

The League lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering support towards religious affairs and for prioritizing the welfare of pilgrims from Ogun State.

The League also praised the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for its effective coordination, as well as the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for its meticulous planning, supervision, and execution of the Hajj operations.

“We pray that Allah rewards all stakeholders abundantly and continues to bless Ogun State with peace, unity, and development,” the statement concluded.
