RCCG Pastor Allegedly Flees With $8,000 Church Funds to U.S., Marries Another Woman

A senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has allegedly absconded with $8,000 meant for church development, relocated to the United States, and remarried, abandoning his wife in South Africa.

This shocking revelation was made by Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, during her message at a men’s programme organised by the church.

In a viral video of the event, Pastor Folu recounted how the accused cleric, originally from Ekiti State, was posted to Cape Town, South Africa, where he reportedly diverted church funds intended for acquiring a permanent parish site. He subsequently fled with the money to the United States and married a new wife.

“The woman he abandoned in South Africa is presently in a terrible state, almost running mad,” Pastor Folu said while expressing deep concern over the incident.

She condemned the act as not only deceitful but also spiritually damning, saying, “RCCG men, what are we going to do? Are we going to continue with such a lying spirit, a deceitful spirit to the God of the kingdom?”

The incident has sparked outrage among church members and social media users, with many calling for the pastor’s immediate sanction and extradition to face disciplinary and legal action.
