The Muslim Congress (TMC), Ogun State chapter, has announced plans to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary with free medical services and its 18th annual lecture in Abeokuta.
According to the Waali of TMC in the state, Dr. Abdulrazaq Ogunmoye, the free healthcare outreach will hold on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Ake Palace Arcade, in collaboration with Accurate Medical Laboratory, The Patriots, and the Damien Foundation.
Beneficiaries are expected at the venue by 8 a.m. for medical checkups, consultations, and free medications.
The anniversary lecture, themed “The Nigerian State and Lessons From Contemporary History”, will be chaired by Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta.
Other speakers include Professor Ishaq Akintola, founder of Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), who will speak on global politics and sovereignty, and Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Ariremako, who will address the prospects and challenges of Shariah in a pluralistic society. Senator Adegbenga Kaka will serve as keynote speaker.
The event will also feature the presentation of awards, distribution of health insurance certificates to community leaders, and a digital literacy competition.
