The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has commended the Dangote Group for what it described as visionary industrial leadership and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth.
Speaking during an event in Lagos, the President of the Chamber, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa, said the role of forward-thinking industrial leadership was critical in navigating the complexities of a rapidly changing global economy.
Idahosa noted that the Dangote Group had consistently demonstrated industrial courage by investing in key sectors where others had been hesitant. He expressed the Chamber’s appreciation for the company’s long-standing collaboration and support over the years.
According to him, the establishment of the Dangote Refinery stands as a clear testament to the vision and patriotism of an industrialist deeply committed to national development.
“The birth of the Dangote Refinery is a demonstration of an industrialist utterly passionate about the country and willing to drive impact across critical sectors,” Idahosa said.
He added that with the refinery’s confirmed capacity to meet Nigeria’s domestic fuel demand, the nation’s economic outlook had become significantly brighter.
Idahosa reaffirmed LCCI’s commitment to fostering partnerships, promoting policy advocacy, and creating enabling platforms for businesses and industries to thrive.
“The Chamber remains focused on advancing initiatives that will strengthen the private sector and enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global market,” he said.
