A chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ganiyu Oyedepo, popularly known as Koko Zaria, has publicly accused his former boss, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, of betrayal and alleged sexual relationships with his wives and girlfriends.
The allegations were made in a viral video circulating on social media on Wednesday, in which Koko Zaria spoke emotionally in Yoruba, recounting what he described as years of humiliation, silence and abuse of trust during his association with the influential transport union leader.
In the footage, Koko Zaria alleged that despite his loyalty, he endured deep personal pain, claiming that MC Oluomo repeatedly crossed boundaries by engaging in affairs with women close to him.
He also said his former boss allegedly worked against his progress within the union.
According to him, public perception had long painted him as disloyal and ungrateful, especially during periods when he was subjected to criticism and attacks on social media. He, however, insisted that critics were unaware of what he claimed to have suffered privately.
“My former boss engaged in relationships with my girlfriends, including my wives, and yet people still expect me to show him respect,” he said. “I was attacked online and labelled ungrateful, but I remained silent and chose to pray for those people.”
Koko Zaria further alleged that MC Oluomo stifled his growth and deliberately prevented him from advancing, adding that he possessed sensitive information about his former boss but had chosen not to make it public—for now.
“He took everything good from me and did not want me to progress. I endured it all in silence. I know many things about him, but I am keeping them to myself for the moment,” he added, warning that continued attacks from MC Oluomo’s associates could force him to speak out further.
As of the time of filing this report, MC Oluomo had not publicly responded to the allegations. Efforts to reach his camp for comments were unsuccessful.
The development has further exposed cracks within the leadership of the NURTW, an organisation that has, in recent years, been rocked by internal power struggles and public disputes among its top figures.
