The Abeokuta Correctional Centre on Thursday, celebrated the retirement of three senior officers and recognized outstanding staff for their dedication to the service.
The ceremony, attended by top officials and well-wishers, saw Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC) Stephen, Dr. Folabi Rahman (represented by his wife), and CCC Aina Felicia Tomori honoured for their years of commitment to the correctional service.
Chief Correctional Officer, CC Kamoru Abioye Adeshina, was also commended for his leadership and service.
In a demonstration of support, Loveworld Ministry Christ Embassy presented awards to select correctional personnel and donated two bags of rice to the centre, reinforcing its ongoing humanitarian outreach in correctional facilities across the state.
The event was filled with emotional moments as colleagues, friends, and officials offered prayers and goodwill messages to the retirees, wishing them a peaceful and fulfilling post-service life.
High-profile attendees included the Controller of Corrections, the Officer-in-Charge of OBA, Head Chaplain Mr. Sanusi, Ogun State Command PRO, and welfare officers from various commands including Sagamu, Borstal, Ijebu-Ode, and Ibara, among others.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of recognizing service and fostering a culture of appreciation and support within the correctional community.
