Security operatives have rescued a young boy allegedly abducted from Lafia, Nasarawa State, after intercepting suspected child traffickers in the nation’s capital.
According to a Facebook post by One Aliyu Musa on Thursday, March 12, 2026, the child was reportedly taken from within the College of Agriculture in Lafia and transported to Abuja, where the criminals intended to sell him.
“By the grace of God, security operatives arrested the traffickers and rescued the child. He is currently in the custody of authorities in Abuja,” Musa wrote, appealing to the public for help in locating the boy’s family.
He urged anyone who may recognize the child or knows his relatives to contact Jibrin Ali Baggio or reach him at 08147469927, stressing the need for swift action to reunite the boy with his parents.
Child trafficking remains a growing concern in Nigeria, with law enforcement agencies frequently calling on citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
The incident comes amid heightened awareness campaigns against child abduction, as authorities continue to clamp down on traffickers preying on vulnerable children in schools and communities.
