The proprietor of Insha Allahu (Eweje Aragberi) Maternity Home, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, Chief Dauda Eweje has expressed delight at the installation of Oba Alexander Olusegun MacGregor as the new Olu of Ilawo.
He commended the Ogun State government, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, as well as the Osile Oke Ona Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso.
Eweje, described the emergence of the professor of Clinical Pharmacology as the best thing to have happened to the Ilawo community in recent time.
He urged the Olu of Ilawo-in-Council to work harmoniously with Oba MacGregor for the development and progress of Ilawo as a town and her people.
“It is my fervent prayers that MacGregor’s tenure would usher in good tidings, peace and progress within the Ilawo homestead and beyond”.
“I also pray that MacGregor’s tenure will usher in unprecedented progress and development, particularly in the area of social amenities and infrastructural developments”.
The Oke Ona and Egba chief, who prayed for Olu of Ilawo’s long reign, urged his opponents to sheath their swords for the progress of Ilawo people and community.
Eweje also appreciated the
steadfastness of some prominent sons and daughters of Ilawo over the obaship tussle, urging them not to relent.
