A pastor in Enugu state, Apostle Uchechukwu Samuel, has been dragged before Justice H.O. Eya of the Enugu High Court to face some allegations of fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Tuesday, arraigned the pastor with seven charges which include stealing, conspiracy, and obtaining money under false pretences.
Upon hearing the charges read against him, the accused clergyman pleaded ‘not guilty.’
Following his plea, the prosecution counsel, Ani Ikechukwu Michael, requested the court to set a trial date.
The court therefore granted the defendant bail and scheduled the hearing for July 4 and 5, 2023.
