President Bola Tinubu has declared that he will treat his political opponents who include ,the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and that of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar as important compatriots.
Tinubu said this on Monday at the Eagles square, Abuja shortly in his inaugural address as new president of the country.
The president said he wouid extend the courtesy worthy of a fellow compatriot to his opponents in the February 25 election that brought him to power.
“My victory does not render me more Nigerian than the rest of you. It also does not render my opponents less Nigerian than me.
“I will treat my opponents, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, as important compatriots,” Tinubu said in his inaugural address at Eagle Square, Abuja.”
