A member representing Ndokwa West constituency, in the 8th Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu has expressed delight to be one of the luckiest people in Delta State Politics to have experienced both the Executive and Legislative Arm of government.
The Hon Member who was re-elected under the People Democratic Party (PDP) spoke to journalists at the legislative quarter, in Asaba shortly after the 8th Assembly Inauguration.
He noted that beyond the legislation, he had been in the executive arm of government. As such, he had a good experience in government, and Deltans should look forward to in the 8th Assembly actively participating in governance that will be of benefit to the entire State.
He added that the 8th Assembly will ensure massive collaboration with the Executive arm of Government for better governance in the state to attract human capital development and call the attention of the Executive on areas they consider.
He maintained that as legislators, they speak for the interest of the people they represent, saying if there is no Assembly, there won’t be Democracy.
He pointed out that as Democracy matures, there is less conflict, and the ability to resolve issues maturely.
He noted that the 7th Assembly was a fantastic one, and he is optimistic that the 8th Assembly, by way of cohesion they will do better.
He, however, calls on Ndokwa Nation for cooperation, understanding and to keep playing the Politics of the center that as a State, Ndokwa Nation cannot and will not be left behind
