An Area Court sitting at Centre-Igboro, Ilorin, on Tuesday dissolved the Islamic marriage between Omoalijana Ibrahim and Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim over stubbornness of the woman.
Umar held that the couple’s families failed to settle the case out of court.
The Judge, Mr AbdulQadir Umar, made the dissolution as sought by the man.
He ordered that the woman should be properly served the judgment, adding that she must observe the three-months ‘Iddah’ period before she could marry again.
Omoalijana had applied for divorce on May 3, alleging that Kudirat was stubborn and all efforts to change her behaviour failed.
He attribued Kudirat’s failure to appear in court twice to her stubbornness.
