The newly sworn-in commissioner for Environment, Delta State, Mr. Jamani Tommy Ejiro has urged the management staff and staff of the ministry, to work as a team to succeed in their various assignments.
The commissioner who expressed readiness gave them the directive on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 when he resumed office in Asaba.
Addressing journalists at his office, he said the staff is ready and prepared to work, “We have agreed to work together as a team for the actualization of the MORE agenda of the state governor to advance Deltans.
He added that “as a young person and a youth, I will not disappoint and to end my career, I would like to move forward; therefore, I will put in more effort to make sure I finish strong”
While addressing the issue of floods across the state, the commissioner noted the state governor had put all the necessary effort even before he resumed office, disclosing that flood management teams are working tirelessly across the state to open waterways.
He maintained that team spirit and motivation are key inputs to move the ministry to a higher level.
Earlier, the Commissioner was received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mrs. Minnin Oseji, and other management staff.
The PS, while performing the official handing-over ceremony at the Commissioner’s office, noted that the ministry of Environment is very key in every administration.
She assured the commissioner of staffers’ unalloyed support and total commitment in his tenure as commissioner.
