The newly sworn-in commissioner in the Ministry of Transportation, Delta state, Hon. Onoriode Agofure has revealed that cheap, safe, and comfortable transportation services are the topmost priority for Deltans with his two points agenda for the Ministry.
The commissioner spoke with newsmen shortly after a familiarization meeting with the staff of the Ministry at the state secretariat in Asaba
The commissioner noted that the general meeting with the staff is for bonding and team building, and equally to encourage the staff to work harder to achieve the governor’s MORE agenda
He said, “my emphasis was on efficiency, efficacy and keeping to time, adding that some challenges of the ministry that may hinder service delivery were also looked at”.
He added that “with God’s grace, this administration will achieve the goals of the governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewori, and that Deltans will feel the positive impact of the MORE agenda across the state”.
He disclosed that Deltans will experience cheap, safe and comfortable transportation services.
While commending the state governor for giving him the opportunity to serve, as the state marks her 32 years anniversary, he called on Deltans to sustain the unity cooperation, saying Delta state is ours.
According to him, “Delta at 32, we are clamoring for more unity, cooperation, we should know that we don’t have any other state alert from Delta, it is our responsibility to make Delta great”.
He assured that this administration will consolidate on the activities and accomplishments of the past administration, just as he sought support from all Deltans.
