The Labour Party (LP) is gearing up for the Imo State gubernatorial election on November 11 with a resolute pledge to “Reclaim Imo State” and return it to the people, according to an announcement made by the State Working Committee (SWC) and the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Organization.
This unwavering commitment was conveyed through a statement released by the SWC and the Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council.
The statement, which outlines the party’s determination, was shared with the media in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
The statement declared, “Our campaign is in full gear, and we are fully prepared to ‘Take Back Imo’ State and entrust it to our people.
Therefore, we are establishing our campaign council, comprised of eminent Imolites and dedicated party members.”
The SWC and the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Organisation have assembled the Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council in preparation for the November 11 Imo State gubernatorial election.
The formal inauguration of this newly formed campaign council is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023, just ahead of the official commencement of election campaigns.
All members of the campaign council are expected to be present at the inauguration ceremony, which will take place at the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Headquarters, located at 158, MCC Uratta Road, Owerri, Imo State, starting at 11:30 a.m.
The presence of all Local Government Chairmen and Coordinators is also anticipated at this significant event, demonstrating the party’s commitment to a united and determined effort to “Reclaim” Imo State in the upcoming election
