    Asaba 2023 National Youth Games: Promote Spirit Of Friendship, Tinubu Urges Athletes

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on all Athletes competing in the ongoing National Youth Games to promote the spirit of friendship among all states during and after the games.

    The President made the call when declaring the 7th edition of the National Youth Games, taking place in Asaba, Delta State.

    The President, who was ably represented by the Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh said that the Games should promote the spirit of friendship among all states.

    He urged all state officials and athletes to compete with the spirit of fairness and togetherness while putting the interests of the nation first.

    He added that the beauty of the games is to provide unity, talented athletes, and job opportunities for the youth.

    The Games will take place between September 23rd – 30th, 2023 across multiple venues in the Delta state capital.

    More than 5,742 athletes from the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, will compete for medals in 35 different sports.
