    Ogun Reps Member, Afuape, Empowers Constituents, Celebrates Three Months In Office

    The House of Representatives member, representing Abeokuta south, Ogun state, Afolabi Afoape, has empowered over 300 persons in his constituency, as he celebrated his first three months in office.

    The empowerment program, which held on Monday, at Constituency office of Afuape, opp. NUD high school, Isabo, Abeokuta, had freezers, sewing machines, grinding machines, among others distributed to the constituents.

    Distributed items to the constituents included fifty sewing machines, fifty grinding machines, fifty hair dryers, twenty freezers, N50,000 cash empowerment for over 100 persons, and provision of 100 solar starter pack for beneficiaries of a solar training, organized by Afoo.

    Speaking at the event, Afoo said that a leader won’t forget his people, stressing that he is only giving back to them.

    In his words his people sent him to Abuja not for anyone but to represent them, adding that he has no intention to steal or take their money as he was okay before joining politics.

    Therefore, to show appreciation to one of his loyalist, T. Y Adewale, who lost his life during service, he promised to fully sponsor his (Adewale’s) first child’s, who is currently in SS3, education.

    Also, he commissioned the constituency office, as he promised transparency during his administration.

    According to him, the office will be opened everyday, assuring that anyone that visits to make complains would be attended to immediately.

    He also added that he would make use of suggestion box, which he would put outside the office.

    In his words, anyone who has any idea or complain to make should drop it in the box, assuring that he would read them himself.

    He further assured that the empowerment program would quarterly every year.

    Present at the event were; Hon Akeem Amosun, Alh Wasiu Ajadi, Hon Igbalaye Wasiu, Hon Wasiu Sodipo, Hon Adefolu Subur, among other dignitaries.

    Afoo therefore appreciated his political leaders market women, families among others for showing him immense support, as he promised not to disappoint them.
