In a joyous celebration marking his 50th birthday, Reverend Tolulope Taiwo, widely known as Pastor T, shared a gripping tale of survival and divine intervention during a five-hour praise program held at his church in Abeokuta.

Pastor T, reflecting on his journey, revealed that the year 2017 held a life-altering moment when he narrowly escaped death.

Struggling with goiter for an extended period, he faced a critical juncture where a medical doctor’s timely intervention became a beacon of hope.

“In 2017, I would have died. I have had goiter for many years. The same year, before I went for surgery, a church asked me to handle its media event, and during the committee meeting, a medical doctor advised me to go for surgery, offering it free of charge,” Pastor T recounted with gratitude.

The surgery, performed by Dr. Adewunmi Alayaki, a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim.

The doctor, recounting the potential risks, informed Pastor T that the procedure could have cost him his voice for an entire year.

However, divine intervention played a significant role, defying medical expectations.

“As a pastor, a broadcaster, and everything that puts food on my table, it has been about the voice. God has His way,” Pastor T emphasized, expressing his gratitude for the swift recovery that defied the doctor’s prognosis.

“The doctor said it would take me 13 months to talk. But two to three months later, I started talking very well. That was five  years ago when I was 45 years old.”

The celebration, attended by dignitaries, featured media personalities, religious leaders, and well-wishers who joined in the five-hour praise and worship session, thanking God for Pastor T’s remarkable journey and the divine intervention that preserved his life and voice.

Among the attendees were prominent figures from the media industry and religious community, showcasing a unity of support and celebration for Pastor T’s resilience and the faith that carried him through challenging times.

As the echoes of praise reverberated through the church, Pastor T stood as a testament to the power of faith, healing, and the unwavering support of the community that rallied behind him during his moment of adversity.

The event became not only a celebration of his 50th birthday but also a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of life’s challenges.
