IPOB Threatens Conflict If Nnamdi Kanu Dies In Detention

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a stern warning, declaring that Nigeria will experience a brutal war if its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, dies in detention or is killed by the government.

This caution came in response to revelations made by Femi Adesina, the former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.

IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, clarified in a statement that Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested but kidnapped in Kenya, tortured for eight days, and then extradited to Nigeria by the Buhari government.

Despite a court ruling in Abuja acquitting Kanu, the current APC government, led by Bola Ahmad Tinubu, continues to persecute and unlawfully detain him.

The statement emphasized that Nnamdi Kanu faces no charges but is being targeted for championing the Biafra Self-Determination movement’s lawful referendum.

IPOB warned that any attempt to harm Kanu would lead to a violent disintegration of Nigeria, with severe consequences for those involved.

The spokesperson insisted that the Nigerian government should release Kanu and engage in peaceful negotiations for the dissolution of Nigeria.

However, if the government proceeds to eliminate their leader, IPOB pledged global retaliation, vowing not to forget or forgive the perpetrators and their families.
