After more than a year since assuming office as Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has finally relocated to the Government House in Osogbo, the official residence of the state governor.

Adeleke, who was sworn in on Sunday, November 27, 2022, had been residing in his personal residence in Ede, a nearby town, instead of the Government House.

Despite facing criticism from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), Adeleke remained in Ede, citing ongoing renovations at the Government House.

In a statement released on Sunday by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, it was revealed that Adeleke had officially opened the Government House after the completion of the renovation works.

The rehabilitation included refurbishing the main house, completing an abandoned multi-bedroom Guest House, remodeling certain structures, repairing derelict facilities, and giving the entire Government House a facelift.

During the unveiling ceremony attended by top officials of the Osun State Government, Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to upgrading state assets, regardless of whether they were inherited or initiated by his government.

He highlighted the importance of preserving state resources for future generations and stressed the continuity of government projects.

Adeleke assured the people of Osun State that his administration would focus on completing existing projects, initiating new ones, and maintaining and upgrading old structures for the benefit of the state.

He reaffirmed his dedication to delivering good governance and pledged to redouble efforts in fulfilling the promises outlined in his administration’s five-point agenda.
