Foremost real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo has congratulated  a seasoned administrator and senior civil servant, Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya, on his appointment as the new Head of Service of Ogun State by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Ambassador Adeyemo, who is the Chef Executive Officer (CEO) of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a top – notch Nigerian real estate firm behind the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin Abeokuta; where unusual home happens, Pelican Valley’s Brief Estate, Pelican Ecostay Apartments – the emerging Smart City, and Pelican Greenish Acre Farm Estate  –  all three located at Masa – Kobape corridor of Ogun State, said the elevation of Mr Kehinde Onasanya to the office of Head of Service did not come to him as a surprise.

Adeyemo added that the appointment is well deserved and fitting, even as he commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for deeming Mr. Onasanya worthy of the elevation.

According to the philanthropist and promoter of Okó Opó Foundation, a non -governmental organisation that caters for widows and the downtrodden members of the society, the appointment is an answer to prayer made in that direction over a year ago concerning Mr.Onasanya.

Platform Times reports that Adeyemo had March 23, 2023 while receiving Onasanya in his  Pelican-Valley estate Laderin – Abeokuta on courtesy visit, commended him, then a Permanent Secretary, for being such a great mentor, administrator and having the knack for discovering talents at their inchoate stage and helping them to blossom to limelight for the good of society, Nation and humanity even as he expressed the confidence that he would rise to the peak of his career.

“I’m not surprised You became a Permanent Secretary and by God’s grace, you will be promoted because administration is about vision. You have the vision and it is not something anyone can learn in school. Administration is in born. What is administration? It is an ability to discover people and raw talents before they become very very glaring. For you to have discovered me then, and do much more to encourage us, it shows that the administrative acumen is inborn in you.

“And I believe Ogun State government and the state generally have a lot to benefit from People like you. You are, to me, being a PS, you are still being under utilised. I believe you still need to be utilised optimally and by the Grace of God it will happen,” Adeyemo prayed a year ago.

Platform Times further reports that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, approved the appointment of Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya as the new Head of the Service.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, announcing that Onasanya will take over from Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, who has retired after a meritorious service.

Until his appointment, Mr. Onasanya was the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

He joined the civil service as an Information Officer, GL. 08 on 2 December 1993 and rose through the ranks to a director on GL. 17. He was appointed Permanent Secretary on 2 October 2020.
