The Zazzau Emirate has announced the death of Hajia Habiba Shehu, the senior wife of the late Emir of Zazzau, Shehu Idris.
In an announcement on its official verified Facebook page on Friday, it was stated that Hajia Habiba Shehu passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 30, 2024, after a brief illness.
“It is with total submission to the will of Allah (SWT) that we announce the death of Hajia Habiba Shehu Idris. She died in the early hours of today after a brief illness.”
“Aged 79, the late Hajia Habiba was the senior wife of the late Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris, and the mother of Danruwata Babban Zazzau, Alhaji Bello Shehu Idris, Dan Isan Zazzau, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, and Princess Maryam Shehu Idris, wife of the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, among others.”
“Funeral rites for the late Hajiya will take place immediately after Jumma’at prayers (2:15 PM) at the Emir’s Palace in Zaria.”
“May her gentle soul rest in Jannatul Firdausi, Ameen,” it said.
