Nigerian veteran music legend, Onyeka Onwenu, AKA ‘Elegant Stallion’ has been laid to rest in Lagos State.
Onwenu’s funeral service was held at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju area of Lagos, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
Onwenu was a singer, songwriter, actor, journalist, activist and politician.
The late singer slumped and died on July 30 at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja, after performing at the birthday party of Dr Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
Among those at Onwenu’s funeral service was former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
