The Nigeria Premier Football League have appointed Shooting Stars chairman Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro into its board.
Akoro’s appointment was confirmed in a message by the NPFL secretary, Danladi Ibrahim.
The Oluyole Warriors admistrator replaced Abdullahi Umar of Doma United who vacated the position following his club’s relegation last season.
The NPFL expressed confidence in the vision and expertise of Akoro to drive the league to greater height.
Shooting Stars finished fourth in the NPFL last campaign.
He was a former deputy speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and a retired referee.
