DAILY POST brings you the results of all today’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying matches.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Republic of Benin 3-0 to top Group D with three points from one game.

A brace from Ademola Lookman and a goal from substitute Victor Osimhen gave Nigeria the victory over Benin.

In the other AFCON qualifier played on Saturday, Cameroon defeated Namibia 1-0 at Roumdé Adjia Stadium.

The Indomitable Lions were made to work hard for the win, with Namibia providing a stern test.

Vincent Aboubakar scored the only goal of the match in the second half to give Cameroon all three points.

Also, in another AFCON qualifier played today, Mauritania won 1-0 against Botswana in Nouakchott.

Sidi Amar’s 84th-minute strike handed the Mourabitounes a crucial win to begin their AFCON qualifying campaign.

The match was a cagey affair, with Mauritania dominating possession but struggling to break down a resolute Botswana defense.
