The immediate past Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has been announced the new manager of the United States Men’s National Team.
DAILY POST reports that Pochettino has coached Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
Chelsea was the last club he coached before switching over to national team football.
Football transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano first announced Pochettino’s new job on Tuesday, writing on X, “Mauricio Pochettino is the head coach of the USMNT.”
Addressing the press, Pochettino said, “The decision to join USMNT wasn’t just about football for me; it’s about the journey that this team and this country are on.
“The energy, the passion, and the hunger to achieve something truly historic here – those are the things that inspired me.”
