The People’s Elephant put up an impressive defensive performance in the encounter.
Yemi Olanrewaju’s side also created few chances but were unable to put them away.
Enyimba will host the second leg at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday, September 22.
The Aba giants will need a win to scale through to the next round.
Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, El-Kanemi Warriors were eliminated in the first round by Beninoise club, Dadje FC.
