Jigawa State Government has declared Tuesday, September 17th 2024 as a work free day to mark the celebration of the Eidel-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri. The statement was made available to journalists by Public Relations Officer Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse.

“I write to inform you that Government has declared 14th R/Awwal,1446AH (17th September, 2024) as work free day to celebrate the Birthday (Maulud Nabiy) of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W),” the statement said.

While making the declaration on behalf of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, the Head of Service congratulated all Muslim faithful in Jigawa State and the country at large for this year’s occasion.

Dagaceri enjoined workers in the state to utilize the period for prayers to Allah (S.W. A) for His protection and guidance.
