Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has said he was surprised Chelsea didn’t sign West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea were once again busy in the summer transfer window as they signed many players including Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto.
The Blues, however, failed to bring a centre forward in despite trying to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
“I feel Niclas Fullkrug can make an impact in this game [Fulham vs West Ham]. I’m a big fan of his and he scored for Germany during the international break,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
“I thought Chelsea should have looked to sign him. It was a bit of a surprise to me when they did not make a move.
“The Blues don’t have a proper striker at the moment.”
