In a solemn gathering at the Fidau Prayer for the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, dignitaries including Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State paid heartfelt tributes to the departed lawmaker, describing her as a remarkable leader and unwavering advocate for justice and equity.
Governor Abiodun, speaking through his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, extolled Hon. Onanuga’s dedication and strength during her tenure representing the Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
He emphasized her pivotal role in advancing policies that not only uplifted her constituents but also contributed significantly to national development.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, represented by Hon. James Falake,
commiserated with the family, celebrating Hon. Onanuga’s legacy as a committed and loyal public servant who utilized her time well in service to the nation.
Adding a spiritual dimension to the proceedings, Sheik (Dr) Tajudeen Akolawole Ashaye delivered a poignant lecture on the significance of time in the eyes of Allah, urging attendees to lead righteous lives and positively impact society.
The event culminated in prayers and recitations from the Holy Quran for the repose of Hon. Onanuga’s soul and comfort for her family.
