Actress Ali Bastian diagnosed with stage two cancer
Popular English actress, Alexandra Louise Bastian, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Hollyoaks star in a post on her Instagram page on Monday, disclosed that she was diagnosed with stage two cancer while still breastfeeding.
The 42-year-old who described the incident as a total shock said she is having chemotherapy, but that she will also undergo a single mastectomy and radiotherapy.
“It was a total shock. I have mornings when I wake up and I have forgotten. Then suddenly I remembered. I’m still trying to process it.
“It wasn’t clearing up and the more I felt it, the more it felt like this wasn’t just a blocked duct,” she added.
“I went to my GP and I said, ‘Actually, can I go to the clinic now?’ and she was very supportive of that.”
