The 1,869 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 members of the National Youth’s Service Corps, NYSC, posted to Adamawa State have assumed orientation camping.

The corps members officially started the process Friday during a ceremony at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Damare, near Yola, with assurance of conducive atmosphere by the state government.

The state Deputy Governor, Professor Farauta Kaletapwa who represented Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on the occasion, asked the corps members to feel at home.

“As corp members, you are automatic bona fide indigenes of Adamawa State,” Farauta told them.

She said the government would pay them the N10,000 monthly stipend that each corps member gets in the state.

She advised them to identify themselves positively with the yearnings of the people at their various places of primary assignments.

Earlier in his address, the state NYSC coordinator, Ateli Samson acknowledged the approval of the state government for renovation and construction of camp facilities damaged by rainstorm as well as augmenting the feeding of corps members and camp officials.

The state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman administered the oath of allegiance on the corps members.
