The PDP Governorship Candidate in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has reaffirmed his commitment to running quality and people-oriented government in Ogun State if elected as the number one citizen in the March 2nd general elections.
Adebutu reaffirmed this commitment during his ward to ward campaign tour of Yewa North and Ijebu Ode Local Governments recently while addressing the traditional rulers, Community Leaders, Heads of various groups and associations in the Local Government area.
According to the Media Consultant to Ladi Adebutu Democratic Organisation, Afolabi Orekoya, the campaign tour was an opportunity for Adebutu to interact with the people to identify the needs and expectations of the people as Adebutu’s desire is to run a people- oriented government. Orekoya said Adebutu presented his manifesto titled “Sharing a pedigree of Posterity”. The manifesto has a five-point agenda that embodied good governance and transparency.
While moving from ward to ward, Adebutu donated a total of four 500KVA transformers to Ijoun and Ayetoro Communities in Yewa North while Bonojo and Epe Garage Communities in Ijebu Ode Local Government also benefitted.
While Commissioning the transformers, Adebutu expressed his desire to creating a business friendly environment, this he said will be made possible once the major required amenities are available for businesses to thrive, and one of this amenities is power. He further shared his compassion for the development of Ogun state and how he is determined to make life more meaningful for the people of the state.
While expressing their joy and appreciation on behalf of the beneficiary Communities, the leaders of the Communities vowed to support the candidacy of Adebutu assuring him of their votes in Governorship election and also in the Presidential election, to vote in Alhaji Atiku Abubarka as President.
The Communities also mentioned that they had lost hope that any government will come to their aid after many years of darkness and lack of transformers.
