Amavubi of Rwanda head coach, Torsten Spittler hopes playing in front of their fans can help his side claim a famous victory over Nigeria.

The Amavubi will host the star-studded Super Eagles side in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday two encounter at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Tuesday.

It will be the first official game at the newly refurbished ground.

Rwanda started their qualifying campaign with a 1-1 away draw against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya last week.

Spittler is expecting a tough test against the Super Eagles but hopes his players can make use of their home advantage.

“We know our next game against Nigeria won’t be easy, but we hope to make the best of our home advantage,” the German was quoted by Rwandan news hub, The New Times.

“Now every point counts, and the draw with Libya brings us more confidence.”
