In response to the unfortunate demise of Access Holdings Plc CEO Herbert Wigwe, popular Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, expressed his condolences.
News broke on Saturday night revealing that Herbert Wigwe had lost his life in a helicopter crash in the United States.
The incident occurred on Friday night near a Californian border city en route to Las Vegas.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported on Saturday morning that no survivors had been found.
The crashed aircraft was identified by the FAA as a Eurocopter EC 130.
“We were made aware of a downed aircraft at approximately 10:12 p.m., on February 10, 2024.
The scene of the crash was determined to be east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road,” stated the sheriff’s department.
The Eurocopter EC 130, carrying six passengers at the time, including Herbert Wigwe, faced a tragic fate.
Unverified sources suggested that Chizoba, Herbert Wigwe’s wife, his son, and former President of Nigeria Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, were also feared to have lost their lives in the helicopter crash.
Taking to his X account, Davido shared a heartfelt message, praying for strength and comfort for the grieving Wigwe family.
“I pray for strength and comfort for the Wigwe family,” wrote Davido in a solemn post on social media.
