In a significant announcement during the 31st edition of Iganmode Day celebration in Ota, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, assured the public that the Agbara-Atan-Lusada Road, currently undergoing construction, is slated to be completed within the next nine months.

Abiodun emphasized the strategic importance of the road, asserting that its completion is vital to maintaining Ota’s prominent position within the country.

Speaking at the event, he stated, “The road that we are constructing, which is the major road in this local government, Agbara-Atan-Lusada road, will be completed in the next nine months by God’s grace.”

The governor also highlighted the administration’s dedication to overall infrastructure development, pointing out the recent approval by the Federal Executive Council for the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road.

Abiodun acknowledged the persistent efforts over the past four years to secure this approval, expressing optimism about further successes in the ongoing battle for infrastructural improvements.

Furthermore, he shared plans for extending the Lagos Blue Rail Line from Okokomaiko to Agbara, marking a significant development in the region’s transportation network.

Additionally, the governor assured the residents of Ota that they would be among the first to benefit from uninterrupted power supply under the Light Up Ogun Project.

In line with economic development initiatives,  Abiodun revealed that the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Dry Port in Kajola and the Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside Local Government would take place in the near future.

These projects are expected to boost trade and commerce in the state significantly.

Abiodun expressed confidence in the state’s economic prospects, stating, “Ogun State would soon be number two in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR),” highlighting the administration’s commitment to creating an environment conducive to investment and economic growth.
