The grand occasion took place during the Association’s 2024 Annual Dinner, themed “Celebrating Leadership,” at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel on Ozumba Nbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Organizers of the event emphasized the necessity of bestowing this honor upon Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, citing her commendable role as a Two-term Deputy Governor.

Her leadership, they noted, has been nothing short of exemplary, making her a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

In her gracious response, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele expressed her elation at receiving the award in person.

She viewed it as a tangible demonstration of her commitment to the growth and success of the esteemed Imperial College London Alumni Association.

The occasion also provided her with the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and expand her professional network, highlighting the intrinsic value of one’s network in determining net worth.

Reflecting on the privilege of attending Imperial College London, Salako-Oyedele emphasized that the alumni were among the crème de la crème of society, having received a quality education from one of the best colleges globally.

She lauded the current crop of alumni, asserting that their contributions are pivotal in making any country’s economy vibrant.

Commending the organizers for executing a successful Annual Dinner, the Deputy Governor urged those present to actively engage in alumni activities.

She specifically advocated for the use of social media as a valuable resource tool, recognizing its heterogeneous nature as advantageous for both immediate and long-term publicity.
