A leader of an All Progressives Congress (APC) support group for the 2023 Presidential Campaign,

Alhaji Abdulwahab Quadri has urged Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect of Nigeria, to take immediate action once he is inaugurated on May 29, 2023.

Quadri also extended his congratulations to Tinubu and Vice President-elect Senator Kassim Shettima for receiving Nigeria’s highest national honors, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), respectively, as bestowed by President Muhammadu Buhari by the constitution.

In a statement he released, Quadri, who is a Christian member of the APC, expressed confidence that the Tinubu-led administration would bring about transformative development.

He further emphasized that the administration would promote unity and national cohesion by ensuring that all regions of the country feel included and valued.

“It gives me great pleasure to congratulate our President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his highest national honour conferred on him today by Nigeria’s outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari as the Grand Commander of Federal Republic (GCFR), and his Vice President-elect, Senator Kassim Shettima, who also received Grand Commander of Niger (GCON), respectively.

“Similarly, the official handing over to you by President Muhammadu Buhari, this Thursday, in Abuja, in line with Executive Order 14 which mandates that the transition council issues handover notes containing, amongst other things, proposed policy direction for the incoming administration gives credence to your emergence as Nigeria’s President-elect.

“Now that the mantle of leadership has been handed to you by the outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari, and as a true democrat, I urge you to keep the ground running.

“As former governor of Lagos State, I could attest to your sterling performance which saw a rapid transformation in all facets of the state, it is my sincere belief that once you assume office officially, you’ll replicate the same transformation across the country for the benefit of all.” He is said.

He additionally conveyed positive expectations that Tinubu’s government would tackle problems such as insecurity, separatist movements, protests, and banditry, as well as other criminal activities.

Emphasizing the administration’s commitment to fostering unity and national cohesion by ensuring that all regions feel included and valued, he issued a cautionary message to those who were attempting to discredit Tinubu and Shettima’s victory and inauguration.

He urged them to refrain from spreading false narratives and engaging in plots that could lead to public division.
