President Tinubu has nominated a lawyer, Saseyi Feyijimi Ibiyemi, as resident electoral commissioner for Ondo State. If cleared by the Senate, Ibiyemi will replace another lawyer, Niyi Ijalaye, who died in August while serving as the resident electoral commissioner.
