The Enugu State Police Command has arraigned one Tsehemba Joshua, a 30-year-old male suspect, for alleged armed robbery and murder of a 19-year-old scrap scavenger, Yusuf Ibrahim. The arraignment of the suspect and his remand in a custodian centre by a magistrate court was confirmed in a statement on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe. A Federal High Court in Ibadan on Monday sentenced a 25-year-old drug trafficker, Ibrahim Abdulateef, to six months in prison over unlawful possession of 700g of hemp. Delivering judgment, Justice Uche Agomoh stated that she convicted Abdulateef based on the evidence tendered against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as well as his plea of guilt.
