The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has reacted to the arraignment of a number of minors by the Nigerian Police. The minors, according to an earlier report by DAILY POST, were detained for over 90 days before their arraignment in an Abuja High Court on Friday. Their offence, according to the Nigeria Police, was their participation in a protest against hunger and bad governance. Late voting finally commenced in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State in Saturday’s Chairmanship and Councillorship polls, several hours behind schedule. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the delay was caused by the late delivery of election materials to the polling units. Traders at Umuahia’s major market, Orie Ugba were on Saturday morning, chased away from the market by a combined enforcement team.
